When bending forward, bend at the knees and hips, but keep your back straight. This will help to keep your spine's curvature in proper alignment.

When lifting, keep your spine straight while using your legs to do most of the work. Hold the objects being lifted close to your body to keep the weight on your spine to a minimum.

When standing for extended periods, rest one foot on a small stool to maintain spinal curvature and relieve pressure.

 Wobble Chair

The exercises performed on the rehabilitation floor prepare the muscles for the patient’s personalized treatment plan. The Wobble Chair not only warms up the muscles of the back and pelvis areas, but also creates a pumping action to circulate blood in the discs, ligaments and tendons surrounding the spine. This is a federally patented device created to aid in regeneration and healing of intervertebral discs.

 Techniques

Chiropractic Adjustments:
An adjustment is a technique in which a joint is adjusted in such a manner as to improve the  integrity of the joint.

There are force adjustments, minimum force adjustments and non-force adjustments. There are over 60 different kinds of adjustments within these categories, all of which are done with the intention of improving overall health by improving the integrity of the skeletal system and the corresponding muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves.

 Spinal Decompression Therapy
Decompression Therapy: Non-surgical spinal disc decompression is a non-invasive treatment for acute and chronic spinal pain associated with herniated, ruptured, bulging or degenerative discs and sciatic leg pain or spinal stenosis associated with these conditions.
It is safe and effective without the normal risks associated with invasive procedures such as injections, anesthesia or surgery. decompression therapy table
During the decompression phase the pressure in the disc is reduced and a vacuum type of affect is produced on the nucleus pulposis. At the same time nutrition is diffused into the disc allowing the annulus fibrosis to heal. Very rarely is the nerve root compressed from the herniated disc and usually the back and leg pain associated with these conditions is a result of irritation to the nerve root sleeve by the inflammatory chemicals that are released as a result of inflammation in the disc.
